I know how it feels – it’s that time of the year again, and you still have no overwhelmingly exciting plans on the horizon. The silly season brings to Madrid a realm of flamenco Christmas fun – take advantage of it!
Zambomba flamenca at Teatro La Latina (Plaza de la Cebada, 2; 23-30 December) – enjoy the music performed by 15 flamencos on stage. There will be singing, palmas, guitars and tambourines played to the tune of traditional Spanish and flamenco Christmas carols. Plus you get complimentary pestiños with a glass of sweet wine with your ticket. Tickets range between €17-26.
Zambombá de Cádiz in Sala García Lorca, Casa Patas (Calle de los Cañizares, 10; 27 December at 22.30). Renowned cantaor David Palomar will be singing Christmas carols from Cádiz and elsewhere, accompanied by guitar music, palmas and a small choir. It’ll surely be a memorable night in the more intimate setting that is the Sala García Lorca at Casa Patas. Tickets are €25.
If you want to say “olé 2015” in the flamenco spirit, Las Tablas (Plaza de España, 9) is hosting a special New Year’s dinner with a flamenco show lead by dancer Carlos Carbonell – from €80. And if you’re feeling rich, book the flamenco show and New Year’s party that the guys at Villa Rosa (Plaza de Santa Ana, 15) are throwing. Tickets are selling fast and only the €120 show + party option is available now (no dinner included).

Interesantísima esta guía flamenca. Soy de Madrid y echo en falta un web de estas características en español, con una agenda tan completa. Solo sugerir que se traduzca para los autóctonos, aunque siga en inglés para los extranjeros con ganas de arte. Gracias. Un saludo y felicidades.
